In line with new Data Protection Regulations the following covers personal information, how it is used, stored and Privacy.
No personal data is collected on this website.
When working with Clients I will collate personal information such as name, age, gender, Address, contact telephone numbers and any other personal information the client may provide.. This information will be kept confidentially.
This information is kept in paper copy form, it is maintained by me the Data Protection Officer and is stored in a locked cabinet that only me and one nominated colleague have access to (In the event that I am unable to continue to work with clients due to serious illness or death, my colleague will contact clients to inform them)
I keep brief notes from our counselling sessions and these are kept separate to personal data and these notes contain NO personal data identifying the client.
No data will ever be shared with any third party, unless at the request of the client and only after this has been discussed with the client and me.
Control of your personal information.
During our working relationship, please help to ensure that the personal information you provide is kept up to date and inform me as soon as practicable of any changes to that personal information.
Access to your personal information.
I will give you full access to the personal data I hold about you, and you may also read notes that I keep following our sessions together, Please give me reasonable notice when requesting this, so I am able to provide you with this information.
Personal information will be held for a period of 7 years following completion of our work together, in line with current professional requirements. At the end of 7 years all information will be destroyed.
