Who Am I?
I am a Kind, Friendly and approachable individual who is passionate about people's mental health, mental well-being, and spiritual health, be that on an individual, group, or team basis. 
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy,(BACP), as a member of this body I work safely, ethically and with integrity with my clients and always put the clients best interests at the forefront of our work together.

Entering into therapy/counselling can be a daunting feeling for many people, therefore it is important to me that you feel that you have a safe place in which to explore the difficulties you are experiencing, and  that the working relationship is based upon trust, confidentiality and a non judgmental alliance.
I believe that I can, and do provide all of these qualities to my clients as well as warmth, understanding and empathy. It is also important to me that the work together is  at a pace that is comfortable for you the client.  I am deeply committed to, and motivated by the work I do with people, and take great satisfaction in seeing people shift and improve their situation and outlook by working together in a therapeutic relationship.

I have worked with many issues including:
Stress,  Worries, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Self Improvement, Self Confidence, Relationships, Seperation, Divorce, Infidelity. Problem solving, Self Harm, Addiction, Drugs, Alcohol, Gambling. Bereavement & Loss. Fear, feeling scare about the future. Abuse, Sexual, emotional and Physical, and feeling like a failure or not good enough.

My Background

I have 20 years experience dealing with Trauma. PTSD, Anxiety and Stress where I worked in an Emergency Services environment.
I Began volunteering  with a Bereavement Charity in 2013 working with bereaved clients, and as a Supervisor to other Bereavement volunteers since 2017.
I was very honoured to have been the first Male Counsellor to work for Survivors Alliance North Devon (SAND) and worked for them between 2020 & 2021
Currently


I set up my own private practice in 2016 Based in North Devon, working from my counselling room in Bideford.

And following the Covid 19 outbreak in March 2020, I was delighted to be asked to take on the role of Pandemic Well-being Response Counsellor for Sodexo Healthcare UK. Where I work with Hospital Key workers and support them with their mental health and training, so successful has this service been for staff members that it has been extended into 2023.

I have also Taken on the role of National Counselling Lead for Sodexo Healthcare UK, leading a team of Counsellors across the UK providing Sodexo staff with Counselling, Mental Health support and well being and staff training.

I am the Well Being Counsellor/Trainer/ and Coach with NDH.

These roles are a real privilege and are a good fit with my own practice.

My fees are £30 for the initial session including an assessment of your needs, and providing you are happy to enter into a working relationship together at the end of the session, subsequent fees are £45 per hour, these rates also apply to online work.

I do offer concessions for those on low incomes, this is based upon an individual agreement and subject to availability.

EAP, health insurance fees start from £60 per hour
